She studied political science at the University of Michigan, obtained her Law Degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

She demonstrated a profound dedication to helping the homeless and less fortunate as seen in her commitment to the homeless community. Lola Serves on the Board of Project Dignity as one of the Directors.
