By 2019 every person in our community will have access to a decent meal and healthcare.
Statement of Values.
1.These values inform and guide us as we move forward in achieving our Goals.
2. We value every man, woman, child in our community, we recognizing the right of all people to have a decent meal, healthcare and a safe place in which they can live.
3. We value and respect diversity, we believe that communities are stronger when people connect across differences.
4.We value and strive for excellence and are committed to finding solutions for housing, healthcare and access to clean food needs, and support services.
5.We value and respect inclusive process that honors all points of view and a critical, balanced approach to these sensitive issues.
6 We value and respect the Rights and Dignity of Homeless people. We support their rights, we recognize their contributions and value the homeless Men and Woman who served our country and fought for our freedom.
7.We oppose anyone who reduces their rights, criminalizing poverty or stigmatizing homeless people, Project Dignity empowers and encourages homeless people to speak for themselves, including the right to vote.
8. Prevent episodes of homelessness within the Metro Detroit area and local communities, including Veterans, individuals and families.
9. Empower our community(s)and state, local officials to improve their response to individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
10.Identify risk and protective factors to prevent episodes of homelessness for at-risk. Strengthen outreach and engagement activities.
