Ali Sayed founded HYPE Athletics in 2001 with the aim of providing structured recreational opportunities for Dearborn’s youth. The mission of HYPE Athletics Community is to create and strengthen infrastructures that support the positive development of Wayne County youth through athletic participation and competition. Ali is a father of four daughters and husband to Amanda since 2007.

Today, Ali oversees the operations of two recreation centers located in Dearborn Heights and Wayne, Michigan. Both centers offer a great deal of programs and services that reach over 100,000 individuals annually. From Sports programs for youth, to fitness and wellness classes for adults, HYPE is cultivating the importance and understanding of a healthy lifestyle.

Many youth based education, reading, math and engineering programs have been created to encourage a life past sports. Multiple partnerships are in place to cater to the region. Ali has an ambitious mind and drive that yields positive outcomes for all that work, or participate with HYPE.
