David Sanchez
Vice Chairman
David Sanchez is a Southwest Detroit Native. He graduated from Western International High school then went on to study Political Science at the University of Michigan- Dearborn. David devotes much of his time to community service. He is a founding member of Building A Brighter Neinas Community where he has helped to lead the efforts to create a park and soccer field for neighborhood children. Along with being Vice Chair at Project Dignity, David also serves on the Board of Directors at Latin Americans for Social and Economic Development (LA SED) and Congress of Communities (COC).
David is also an experienced Community Organizer. His work experience includes fighting for economic justice at SEIU and Good Jobs Now. He also helped to successfully pass the ordinance to implement Municipal ID’s while working at Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation. Currently he works at Michigan United where he focuses his efforts on making strides for immigrant rights. David Sanchez resides in Southwest Detroit with his wife and children.
